About me

My areas of particular focus include: anxiety, fear, depression, loss, bereavement, relationship difficulties, adverse childhood experience and life changes and other challenges. Not all problems fit into neat boxes, so I offer the space at Epping Counselling and Psychotherapy to explore whatever you bring.

I take an integrative approach to therapy, meaning that I can tailor my skills to suit your particular needs.

• I am trained in psychodynamic therapy, which explores how past influences and experiences shape us, often leading to patterns of feelings and behaviour that we are not consciously choosing, and may be harming or holding us back.

• I am also trained in person-centred therapy, which seeks to help us thrive in the here and now, empowering us to self-actualise and achieve our full potential.

• I have a strong interest in mindfulness and the physical manifestation of mental distress, where emotional burdens are held in the body and may cause damage of their own.

• I use tools from cognitive behavioural therapy, which seeks to challenge negative and harmful thought patterns and make better sense of our mental state.

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), abiding by their Ethical Framework. I am DBS checked.
